The Superstar Standard offers the exact same features as the Superstar Custom and EFX but with a solid colour Duracover wrap finish.
Features:
- Birch and Basswood Shells:
Bass drum (7-ply, 7mm), toms, floor tom and snare (6-ply, 6mm).
Superstar shells consist of birch for the main inner plies which gives a strong projection and an aggressive open sound. Due to it's excellent consistency and regular grain patterns, basswood is used for the inner plies. Great response and powerfull resonance is achieved from the precisely cut bearing edges. - Die-Cast Hoops:
No other drum embodies pro features at an affordable price like Superstar. Superstar features the same zinc die-cast hoops as equipped on the Starclassic drums. These hoops make tuning easier and more consistent, they also provide crisp attack, clear and resonant highs, and much more powerfull rim shots. - Star-Cast Mounting System:
All Superstar rack toms are equipped with the same star-cast mounting system as the Starclassic drums. This mounting system provides total tom isolation and unhindered shell resonance without the adverse effect of tuning or complicated head changes found in other suspension systems. - Sound Bridge High-Tension Lug:
The sound bridge high-tension, low mass lug has a traditional look, but the body of the lug 'floats' over the shell to minimise shell contact letting the drum resonate to its fullest. The sound bridge still gives all the benefits of the traditional lug, such as reduced stress on the shell and greater protection during transport. - Power Craft Drumheads:
Superstar drums are fitted with power craft drumheads which give a great sound straight out of the box. The batter heads are made from Dupont Mylar film which provides a richer tone and greater durability. The bass drum heads have ring mufflers removing the need for extra internal muffling. - Quick-Set Tilter:
All Superstar kits come complete with the upgraded HC73BWN Roadpro cymbal stand. The new toothless 'Quick-Set' cymbal tilter system allows for the action to be adjusted freely and to maximum tightness with minimum effort. - Available Finishes:
